FFP
|
Quite a lot of posters on here have rubbished the FFP rules in the past, certainly I can recall quite a few suggesting that we should just completely ignore them like, supposedly, other teams have done, because nothing seems to happen to teams that breach the rules.
Well....
QPR have agreed a settlement of almost £42m with the English Football League after an arbitration panel dismissed the Championship club's claims that Financial Fair Play rules are unlawful.

The only reason Christiansen got game time is because Chelsea wouldn't buy Bonucci for Conte.
Courtois is the only other one, and I think he had 2-3 years at Atletico Madrid on loan.

They must be gutted knowing that their front 4 today could have been Hazard, De Bruyne, Salah and Lukaku. Poor old rent boys.

Christensen is the only one in recent memory that has got some decent game time in their first team. FFS they loaned out, then sold, De Bruyne, one of the best midfielders in the world now. Crazy.

It's down to these young players to realise they are just commodities at Chelsea and very few, if none of them will ever get a chance in the first team.
Wallace joined Chelsea 5 years ago, no games, 4 loans, released on a free
Tomas Kalas joined Chelsea 8 years ago, 2 games, 8 loans
The list goes on and on

Exactly. I remember Kenyon going there many years ago from Man Utd and he said his main job was to make sure that Abramovich wouldn't need to keep putting money in. FFP pretty much killed 'financial doping' (as Wenger called it) anyway.

Not just the loan fees Bernie, but they stockpile players, loan them out to improve, then once their value has gone up they sell them on for profit.

Chelsea earning untold millions from all the loan deals they do will massively contribute towards their FFP I'd imagine

if you look at the rules it's far easier for PL clubs to stay within the limits, mainly due to the huge amount of revenue they generate.

Have the Premier League sanctioned anyone yet for breaking the rules?
I know UEFA and EFL have.

Wow!
I'm surprised that its legal challenge stood the test but where there's a rule to break someone will always find a way...

FOMB-FFP
Be interesting if QPR took this to a proper court and argued restraint of trade. Not sure these rules would stand up FFP with different clubs allowed different salary caps is an utter nonsense. There should be one number ... let’s say £100m per annum enforced by FIFA worldwide
